Every gas mask bong we carry earns its spot, from entry-level rippers that won't break the bank to seriously wild novelty pieces built to become the centerpiece of any session.
A gas mask bong is exactly what it sounds like: a wearable smoke delivery system that straps a bong directly onto your face. The mask seals around your head, the bong attaches via a flexible hose or direct port, and when you light up, the smoke fills the entire mask chamber before you breathe it in. It's an immersive hit that turns a standard smoke session into something people will be talking about the next day. Equal parts conversation starter and functional piece, these are the kinds of accessories that show up in party photos and stay in collections for years.
The mechanics are straightforward. You pack the bowl on the attached water pipe or acrylic bong, strap the mask over your head and adjust the straps for a snug seal, then light and inhale. Smoke travels through the water filtration in the attached pipe, cools slightly, and then floods the mask chamber. You breathe naturally inside the mask until you're ready to clear it. The water pipe filters out some harshness, so even though the hit is intense, it's smoother than hitting a dry piece cold.
Most gas mask bongs use a removable acrylic or silicone water pipe that detaches for cleaning. The mask itself is typically made from PVC or soft rubber with adjustable head straps to fit a range of face sizes. Some feature LED lights, glow-in-the-dark accents, or themed designs that lean hard into the novelty angle.
The classic configuration: a clear or tinted acrylic water pipe connected directly to the mask port. Acrylic is durable, affordable, and easy to replace if the pipe takes a hit. These are the go-to choice for first-timers who want the gas mask experience without overthinking the setup.
For sessions after dark, certain masks come with built-in LED lighting or glow-in-the-dark components. The visual effect when smoke fills an illuminated mask is legitimately impressive. If you're already in the novelty lane, you might as well go all the way.
Skull faces, clown masks, military surplus aesthetics. These designs lean into the theatrical side of gas mask bongs and are built as much for the visual impact as the function. If you're shopping for a gift or want a piece that sparks a reaction, the themed options deliver every time.
A smaller but growing category. Gas mask dab rigs attach a concentrate-ready piece to the mask assembly rather than a traditional flower bowl. The result is a concentrate hit that fills the mask, which is a very different experience than your standard terp session. Intense, efficient, and not for the faint of heart.
Fit is everything. A gas mask bong that doesn't seal properly leaks smoke and defeats the whole purpose. Look for masks with wide adjustable straps and a flexible rubber or silicone face seal. Heads come in different sizes, so check that the design has enough range to actually fit yours.
Pipe quality matters too. The attached water pipe should have a functional downstem and bowl, not just a decorative piece that barely pulls. Most quality gas mask bongs use a removable pipe so you can clean it separately. If you're unsure how to keep things clean and fresh, our guide on how to clean your bongs and dab rigs covers the basics without making it complicated.
Material durability is worth considering if this isn't purely a novelty purchase. PVC masks hold up better than thin plastic alternatives. Acrylic pipes are more forgiving than glass in a mask context, since there's inherently more movement involved when you're wearing the piece on your face.
Used correctly, yes. The biggest thing to watch is not wearing the mask for extended periods or using it back-to-back without breaks. The enclosed chamber concentrates smoke, so sessions are naturally more intense. Go at your own pace, especially if you're new to the format.
Some are built for it. Look specifically for gas mask dab rig setups with the appropriate joint size and nail or banger attachment. Standard gas mask bongs with flower bowls are not designed for concentrate use, so don't try to retrofit one without the right hardware.
Remove the water pipe from the mask and clean it the same way you'd clean any acrylic or glass bong: isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt for the pipe, warm soapy water and a wipe-down for the mask itself. Don't soak the mask in alcohol, it can degrade the rubber and PVC over time. Our full bong cleaning tips guide walks through the process step by step.
If gas mask bongs sparked your interest in the broader bong world, we'd point you toward gravity bongs for another high-impact smoking method, or silicone bongs if durability is your primary concern. For something more traditional, our full bong collection covers everything from classic beakers to percolator-stacked tubes. And if you want to go deeper on what separates a great bong from a forgettable one, our top bong brands guide is a solid starting point.
When I first got it, I was so disapointed,so plane Jane, just a dull all black box with a nipple to suck on.
But when I used it, things changed, it lit up into a colorful display! cool! Now I can get "stoned" at will & it feels so good!
\It's a good product, easy to use, very effective colorful eye candy.
The pipes ordered are very nice! They were packaged so carefully too. Very pleased.
Definitely holds heat longer than the cap that comes with the Hyderdyn.

Carved Wood Hand Pipe w/ Stone Bowl
This is a small glass water pipe that works well. I like that it is made in the USA and is still inexpensive.
You can only fill the round part at the bottom about half way or else you might inhale water. Other than that no issues at all.
Love the item I received
I'm loving this device! I grew up with a dead head father. He passed away 12yrs ago. So I think this is awesome! Thank you!!
