Chill owns the patent for their vacuum insulation. In addition, they own the patent for their ceramic interior, the non-stick surface that hits and helps clean the glass.

Chill was founded by Rich Gonzalez, who had previously developed and marketed insulated water bottles which later became the inspiration for his “killer bong.” After more than a year perfecting his design and obtaining patents for its double-walled construction and interior ceramic lining, the Chill Steel Pipe was launched.

Many of the other chilled pipes available today have to be put in the freezer, but with the Chill Steel Pipe’s vacuum insulation, all you have to do is put ice and water in it, and it will keep your water ice cold for up to 14 hours. Also, the outside of the pipe doesn’t sweat or make your hands and any other surfaces wet because the cold is trapped inside. The interior ceramic lining is like glass, making every hit super flavorful. Cleaning the device is simple too because the pipe is modular. Just unscrew the neckpiece to clean.

The OG Chill is the original sleek stainless-steel pipe and has a 9 -inch neck. There are a wide variety of bases available in solid colors, as well as interchangeable neckpieces in patterns that include marble, snakeskin, cherry wood, and psychedelic floral. Chill’s limited-edition pink and rainbow Glitterbomb pipes are popular on social medial, and very appealing to the young female smokers. 

Many more designs are in the works from Chill and additional designs will be available in the future from other major water pipe manufacturers as well because Chill specifically created the threading to be “open source” on the market.
