Weed vaporizer bongs hit different from a standard bowl setup, and we carry every style worth considering, from compact whip-style rigs to full desktop-to-bong combos.
A weed vaporizer bong connects a dry herb vaporizer to a water pipe so the vapor gets filtered and cooled before it reaches your lungs. Instead of combusting flower directly in a bowl, you're pulling temperature-controlled vapor through water, which makes each hit noticeably smoother and easier on the throat. The flavor stays cleaner, too, because you're not introducing smoke or ash into the equation.
There are two main ways to build this setup: you can use a standalone vaporizer with a water pipe adapter (WPA) to connect it to any bong you already own, or you can buy a vaporizer bong combo designed to work as a single integrated unit. Both approaches work well. The right call depends on what you already have and how much versatility you want.
Most popular portable dry herb vaporizers can connect to a standard bong through a water pipe adapter. The WPA slides over the vaporizer's mouthpiece and drops into the downstem joint of your bong. This turns your existing glass into a vapor filtration chamber. It's an affordable upgrade and keeps your gear modular, so you can use the vape on its own or with the bong depending on the session. Check out our portable vaporizers if you're starting fresh on that side of the setup.
Desktop vaporizers tend to produce denser, more consistent vapor than portables, and they pair extremely well with glass. Some desktop units include a dedicated water pipe attachment or are built to route vapor directly through a bong setup. If you want the longest, smoothest pulls possible, a desktop-to-bong rig is hard to beat. Browse our desktop vaporizers to see what's available.
Some products combine the heating element, chamber, and water filtration into a single device. These are self-contained units built specifically for this purpose. They're ideal if you don't want to deal with multiple components or adapter compatibility. The tradeoff is less modularity, but the convenience factor is real.
Most bongs use either a 14mm or 18mm joint. Most water pipe adapters come in both sizes, but you'll want to confirm before you buy. Mismatched joints are the most common source of frustration with these setups, and it's an easy thing to check in advance.
One of the main reasons to use a dry herb vaporizer instead of a bowl is the ability to dial in your temperature. Lower temps, typically in the 350 to 370 degree Fahrenheit range, preserve terpenes and deliver lighter, more flavorful vapor. Higher temps push closer to combustion and produce bigger, denser clouds. Having that range available matters, especially when you're running vapor through a bong and want to fine-tune the experience. Read more in our top dry herb vaporizer roundup.
The bong you pair with your vaporizer changes the experience significantly. A percolator bong adds extra diffusion, which cools and smooths vapor even further. A beaker bong gives you more water volume and stability. Straight tubes keep the draw resistance low. For vapor specifically, lower resistance tends to be better since you're not combusting and don't need a slow draw to avoid burning your throat.
Glass is the most popular material for vapor bongs because it doesn't affect flavor and cleans up easily. Borosilicate glass is the standard to look for. Some setups use silicone components for durability, which works fine for the bong body but you generally want glass at any point where hot vapor makes contact.
If you're starting from scratch, the easiest path is picking up a portable dry herb vaporizer and a matching WPA, then pairing it with any bong in our bongs collection. If you want everything in one purchase, browse the all-in-one units in this collection and look for something that balances vapor quality with water filtration. Either way, you'll end up with a setup that's noticeably smoother than straight combustion. Our vaporizer resource guide is a good starting point if you want to read more before deciding.
Yes, as long as you have the right water pipe adapter. Most standard bongs with a 14mm or 18mm joint will work with a compatible WPA. Just match the joint size and you're good to go. Our bong accessories section has adapters if you need one.
Generally, yes. The water cools the vapor and removes some of the particulate matter before it hits your lungs. The difference is noticeable, especially on longer draws or at higher temperatures.
You need either a vaporizer with a water pipe adapter or a bong that has a built-in heating element. Standard bong bowls combust flower rather than vaporize it. The distinction matters for both the experience and the flavor profile.
A dab rig is designed for concentrates, using a nail or banger heated to high temperatures. A vaporizer bong is built for dry flower, using convection or conduction heating to vaporize herb without combustion. The two setups are not interchangeable for their intended purposes, though some vaporizers can handle both with the right attachments.
When I first got it, I was so disapointed,so plane Jane, just a dull all black box with a nipple to suck on.
But when I used it, things changed, it lit up into a colorful display! cool! Now I can get "stoned" at will & it feels so good!
\It's a good product, easy to use, very effective colorful eye candy.
The pipes ordered are very nice! They were packaged so carefully too. Very pleased.
Definitely holds heat longer than the cap that comes with the Hyderdyn.

Carved Wood Hand Pipe w/ Stone Bowl
This is a small glass water pipe that works well. I like that it is made in the USA and is still inexpensive.
You can only fill the round part at the bottom about half way or else you might inhale water. Other than that no issues at all.
Love the item I received
I'm loving this device! I grew up with a dead head father. He passed away 12yrs ago. So I think this is awesome! Thank you!!
