Expensive dab rigs are not about showing off, they are about one thing: getting the most flavor and the smoothest hit possible from your concentrate, and we stock the pieces that actually deliver.
When you step up to the high end of dabbing, you start seeing real engineering. There are glass dab rigs hand-blown by artists who obsess over every curve and joint, and these are the ones that deliver the purest taste. Then you have electric dab rigs, which take the guesswork out of temperature control. They heat your nail to the exact degree, so you get a perfect hit every time without a torch.
Another big category is recycler dab rigs. These use a clever water path that keeps the water moving in a loop, which cools the vapor more effectively and filters it harder. The result is a hit that feels almost airy, but with all the flavor intact. You also see hybrid dab rigs that mix glass with other materials like ceramic or titanium, giving you the best of both worlds in terms of heat retention and taste.
Finally, there are the portable dab rigs. These are not the cheap plastic ones you see at gas stations. High-end portables use quartz or sapphire buckets and have water filtration built into a design that fits in your palm. They are for the person who wants that premium dab experience on a hike or at a friend's place.
Start with the material. Borosilicate glass is the standard for a reason: it handles heat without breaking and does not leach anything into your vapor. But you also see quartz, which heats up faster and gives a cleaner taste, and ceramic, which holds heat longer. Each has its tradeoff, and the right one depends on how you like to dab.
Next, look at the joint size. The most common are 10mm, 14mm, and 18mm. Bigger joints allow more airflow, which means bigger hits, but they also require bigger nails. Then check the nail or banger. A thick quartz banger with a good seal will hold heat better and give you more consistent low-temp dabs. Some high-end rigs even come with sapphire or ruby inserts, which are the absolute best for flavor.
Also consider the percolator. A simple showerhead perc is smooth, but a matrix or honeycomb perc breaks the vapor into finer bubbles, which cools it more. Recyclers are the top tier for cooling, but they also require more water and more cleaning. And do not forget the base. A wide, heavy base prevents tipping, which is important when you are dealing with a $500 piece of glass.
Finally, think about the size. A taller rig gives more room for the vapor to cool, but it also takes up more space and is harder to store. A smaller rig is more portable and often gives a more concentrated hit, but it can be harsher if the water path is too short.
First, decide what you value most: flavor, smoothness, or convenience. If flavor is king, go for a quartz banger and a simple glass rig with minimal percolation. If you want the smoothest possible hit, a recycler or a multi-perc rig will be your best friend. If you are tired of torches and want consistency, an electric e-rig is worth the investment.
Next, think about your budget. Expensive is relative, but you should expect to pay more for hand-blown artistry, rare materials, and brand names. Set a range and stick to it. Remember that the rig is only part of the cost; you also need a good torch, a carb cap, and a dab tool. Factor that in.
Also, consider how often you dab. If you are a daily user, you want something durable and easy to clean. A simple design with fewer nooks and crannies will be easier to maintain. If you only dab occasionally, you can go for something more ornate and not worry about the upkeep.
Finally, trust your gut. A rig is a personal tool. If you see one that speaks to you, that you know will look great on your coffee table and hit exactly how you like, that is the one. Do not overthink it.

Yes, if you care about flavor and smoothness. The higher price gets you better materials, more precise engineering, and often hand-blown artistry that makes each piece unique. A cheap rig can taste harsh and break easily, so the investment pays off in the long run.
Borosilicate glass is the most common because it is durable and inert. Quartz is better for flavor and heats faster, but it is more fragile. Ceramic holds heat well but can mute flavor slightly. It really comes down to your priorities, but glass is the safest bet for most people.
Use isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt. Plug the joints, fill it with the mixture, and shake gently. Rinse with warm water and let it dry. For stubborn spots, let it soak longer. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes that could scratch the glass.
No, electric dab rigs are designed to be torch-free. They use a built-in heating element that you control with a button or app. Using a torch on an e-rig will damage it. If you like the ritual of torching, stick with a traditional glass rig.

Great place to shop and products are well made.
I love my e-blunt.
Get go hits from these one hitter
These are awesome and I keep wanting more
2.5 decades ago I bought a piece from a loc blower who called it a “chubler.” Similar. Bigger. Easier to clean. Had 2 finger releases to shoot the air back. Not for the typical smoker as it was challenging for some to get the concept. But those of us who figured it out absolutely loved it. Sadly I no longer have it. When I found this smaller version I was excited. But no. Totally sucks. Too long. Too narrow. No finger holes so it constantly hits. And super hard to clean the water. Some of us like to change the water often! Do not recommend. Also, please make upgrades because this has the potential to be amazing!
I drink this syrup straight before bed to help me sleep. It works like a charm, and tastes good the way it is.

I'm a huge fan.
Product is Awesome
I absolutely love this bubbler. It’s made well, thick glass, works like a dream, and easy to clean. I love the flat base.
I HIGHLY Recommend
Sadly I broke my beloved beaker bong not long ago. Searching the internet I found Headshop and they had the perfect beaker bong! I love that it's borosilicate glass, for durability, and it's design is, I feel, the most efficient glass pipe out there, in terms of filtering tar, and providing a smooth enjoyable experience. Thumbs up!
